There are plenty of great free resources on the net. This article offers a curated list of the best-of-the-best free resources, to help you find what you really need.

Unless otherwise noted, these resources are free for both personal and commercial work—but remember to always check the license before using someone else’s work.


The Noun Project is a massive searchable database of vector iconography. They’re mostly licensed with Creative Commons, which allows use with attribution. You can find the occasional public domain work which is free to use even without attribution.

Flat Icon is a service similar to The Noun Project. Most of their icons are free to use with proper attribution.
