The Challenge

The Graphic Design degree program at Vancouver Island University had an understandable goal: they wanted to recruit more students. They were limited by their a website that was showing its age, and their small social media presence.

The Solution

I consulted with stakeholders in the program, and developed a new strategy for the department’s social media presence. My new campaign uses the social platform to the best of its ability by encouraging students to share their work and engage the department in conversation. Likes and engagement have been steadily rising since this new plan went into action.

Designer Sebastian Abboud developed the new aesthetic for the department, which I adapted to the website and social media platforms.
